Where is the spring

The Bay of Sorgeto is a paradise nestled in one of the most evocative corners of the island of Ischia in the municipality of Forio, in Panza, on the edge of the beautiful village of Sant’Angelo. Once you have reached the incredible destination, you immediately understand that you have arrived in a fantastic world, out of reality: intense fumes, hot vapors that come out of the rocks and the sea, the pungent scent of thermal water mixed with the smell of the sea they come to meet you and run you down the stairs.

How to reach the spring

The Bay of Sorgeto of Ischia (234 comfortable steps to reach it) is famous for its thermal pools by the sea. Reachable both by sea and on foot through a steep flight of stairs that start from the Panza village, it is a real relief to let yourself go to that mixture of hot-cold, sweet-salty, enjoying one of the most wonderful sunsets you can ever imagine. Beware, however, its rocks and stones are sometimes hot! In one of the small tanks from which the waters flow, the islanders use to cook eggs, potatoes and seafood, a custom that has certainly been repeated for centuries, also considering the archaeological finds found in the area. However, the most fascinating features of Sorgeto are swimming at night, in the warm waters to look at the stars, you can relax by spending unforgettable moments and the mild winter temperatures that allow you to tan and swim even on the coldest days!
