Features of the waters of the Fonte delle Ninfe Nitrodi
The water is classified: natural hypothermal sulphate mineral. Therapeutic properties recognized by the Ministry of Health with decree 3509 of 9 October 2003.
The healing tradition is very ancient, even dating back to the Greek period of the island of Ischia (8th century BC) as its very name attests. The Nitrodi Nymphs, to which the source was dedicated, are mentioned in all classical Greek-Latin texts, from Homer onwards.

How to Reach the Source of the Nitrodi Nymphs
The Fonte delle Ninfe Nitrodi is located in the hamlet of Buonopane in Barano d’Ischia. It can be reached by car along the main road ring of the island. Ample free parking is available in the immediate vicinity. By bus it can be reached with the CD and CS lines and from the Maronti beach, in summer also with the line 11. Going along the steps that start from the bridge, you will reach the Park in a few minutes.

The Nitrodi Nymph Park: a corner of paradise between landscapes, aromatic plants and thermal water

The park of the Nitrodi Nymphs is located in the green hills of the village of Buonopane, south of the island of Ischia. The park unfolds in characteristic terraces that follow the orography of the soil, according to the local rural tradition. The spa complex is organized with showers and washbasins where the water is supplied pure, directly from the source without storage and without any chemical-physical treatment and at a natural temperature of 28°

Comfortable changing rooms, waterfall showers, sinks, chairs and umbrellas characterize the part of the park dedicated to meeting the Nitrodi nymphs, those who live in our waters and who will transform a simple day at the spa into a rare experience of health, well-being and beauty.

Each terrace opens onto enchanting panoramas that range from the green roundness of the hill to the blue plain of the sea, to the celestial dome of the sky. On these terraces, olive, fig and pear trees alternate with the shrubs of the Mediterranean scrub: sage, rosemary, lavender, thyme, broom and laurel. The panoramic terraces are areas dedicated to relaxation and contemplation.
